About this competition
Win a total of R900 000 with your ideas for a better life!
Looking for a way to help create a better life for those less fortunate than you? Want to compete for your share of prize money amounting to R900 000?
Sanlam is proud to sponsor the Creativity for Progress Competition among South Africa's foremost academic institutions. This year's competition – themed "A better life for people in informal settlements" – provides an excellent opportunity for student groups and faculties to come up with innovative concepts on how to improve the life for people in informal settlements.
The winning concepts – which must be practical and implementable – will be handsomely rewarded with a total prize money of R900 000! The winning faculty will receive R150 000 and the winning student group will receive R100 000.
Teams of at least four members each will first compete on intra-varsity level to determine a varsity winner. The national panel members will then adjudicate the varsity winners, and invite the team leader semi finalists to the finals. The team leaders will then compete on a national level to determine the winning faculty and student team. Teams will be assessed on their business proposals as well as the presentation of these proposals to a panel of judges. |
